EYE Checkup

KRANTI SAMAJ has started vision care programme for vulnerable. Under this initiative, periodic eye check-up camps are organised for rural vision care odisha. Spectacles are distributed at low cost to the people identified with refractive error issues. Cataract patients are linked with nearby hospitals for further treatment. In the reporting year, 1,130 people were screened through vision testing camps out of which 2,610 were identified with refractive error and 1,299 people received eye glasses. 511 people identified with cataract were further linked with the hospitals for treatment. Kranti samaj is committed to provide quality eye care to the needy underprivileged people of odisha without any caste or religious bias. It is running 6 fully equipped charitable Centre in different parts of the capital where patients get free treatment, medicines & spectacles etc. To fulfil its dream & vision of making cuttack a 'Cataract Free Zone', the organization also conducts free eye & cataract operations at its flagship Natra Charitable Eye and Medical Centre, hi-tec Charitable Eye and Medical Centre, and bhoomi Charitable Eye Research & Medical Centre which have modern Operation Theatres equipped with the latest state of the art equipments and services which are comparable to even the best of private hospitals. It also has advanced facilities for detection & treatment of Glaucoma (Kala Motia). Retina Unit has also been started at cuttack.

The organization has also been part of various odisha govt. programmes over the years, for eye screening & check-ups of students, pensioners, slum inmates among others. Regular eye camps are also organized at Pan India for check-up & treatment of various eye ailments.
